Job Purpose

To ensure the smooth and efficient operation of electrical and mechanical equipment, production machinery, and utility systems by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and breakdown repairs in a food manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain electrical panels, wiring, sensors, switches, contactors, relays, and motor control systems.
  • Inspect and maintain food processing, frozen food, and packaging machinery.
  • Identify equipment faults and minimize machine downtime through timely corrective action.
  • Conduct regular inspections, lubrication, tightening, alignment, and replacement of worn-out parts.
  • Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports, and preventive maintenance checklists.
  • Coordinate with the production team to ensure machinery availability and smooth production operations.
  • Follow electrical safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and permit-to-work requirements wherever applicable.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping and compliance with food safety, hygiene, and plant safety standards.
  • Support installation, commissioning, and modification of machinery and equipment.
  • Monitor spare parts availability and inform the Maintenance Head about repair and replacement requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • ITI / Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 2–3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a food manufacturing or FMCG company.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical equipment, and industrial troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance, machine breakdown handling, and safety practices.
  • Ability to work in shifts and respond to emergency breakdowns.

  • Electrical and mechanical fault diagnosis.
  • Preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Knowledge of motors, pumps, conveyors, and packaging machinery.
  • Problem-solving and teamwork.
  • Maintenance documentation and reporting.

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
