Eligibility

Nationality

A citizen of India, a subject of Nepal, or a person of Indian origin who migrated from certain listed countries to settle permanently in India. Candidates in the last two categories need a certificate of eligibility from the Government of India, except Gorkha subjects of Nepal.

Age limit

  • Final-year students can apply. They must submit proof of passing, with all semester marksheets, by 1 July 2027, and the degree certificate within 12 weeks of the start of training. Final-year candidates whose result comes out after 1 July 2027 are not eligible.
  • Final-year candidates appear in the SSB provisionally. Their cumulative percentage up to the 6th semester (or 3rd year) must meet the cut-off, and the final cumulative percentage must also meet it after the result.
