IT Infrastructure Cloud Engineer

<p>This Position is in India, and the engineer is needed to work from 12PM to 9PM IST timing to support the Europe Business timing.</p><p>Cloud System Administrator<br><br>REPORTING TO:                                   Senior Manager<br><br>REPORTING LOCATION:                         Bangalore<br><br>WORKING LOCATION:                           Bangalore<br> <br>SUMMARY OF ROLE AND OBJECTIVES:<br><br>We are seeking a skilled and proactive Cloud System Administrator to manage and maintain our hybrid cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, VMware vSphere, infrastructure automation tools like Terraform and Ansible, and a strong background in patch management. This role is critical to ensuring system reliability, security, and scalability across our cloud and on-prem environments.<br> <br>Key Responsibilities:<br><br>Administer and maintain Windows and Linux servers in cloud and on-prem environments.<br>Manage and optimize VMware vSphere infrastructure, including virtual machines, hosts, clusters, and storage.<br>Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform and Ansible.<br>Implement and manage patching strategies across all systems to ensure compliance and security.<br>Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis.<br>Collaborate with Security, and Application teams to support deployment pipelines and secure configurations, fix vulnerabilities.<br>Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and policies.<br>Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution.<br> <br>Required Skills & Qualifications<br> <br>•     Proven experience with Windows Server and Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) administration.<br><br>•     Strong expertise in VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter, vMotion, DRS, HA).<br><br>•     Proficiency in Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure as code and configuration management.<br><br>•     Solid understanding of patch management tools and processes (WSUS, Red Hat Satellite, etc.).<br><br>•     Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.<br><br>•     Knowledge of networking fundamentals, firewalls, and security best practices.<br><br>•     Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.<br><br>•     Strong communication and documentation abilities.</p><p>Personal profile<br><br>Very good English communication skills (concise writing and orally convincing);<br>Able to engage and influence others to obtain sufficient follow up and attention.<br>Eager to learn and continuously develop personal and technical capabilities.<br>Ability to work in a complex international environment.<br>Eager to learn and continuously develop personal and technical capabilities.<br> <br>Education & Experience<br><br>•             Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.<br><br>•             7+ years of experience in system administration and cloud infrastructure management.<br><br>•             Must have certification in Microsoft/Vmware ( Azure Cloud would be good to have)</p><p>Qualifications</p><p>•             Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.<br><br>•             7+ years of experience in system administration and cloud infrastructure management.</p><p>Additional Information</p><p><strong>What we offer:</strong></p><ul><li>A launch pad into various senior management opportunities – within the many business lines of Eurofins globally – or into the management hierarchy in our different corporate functions.</li><li>The opportunity to grow your project management skills in a demanding, fast growing organization.</li><li>A chance to become part of a highly motivated international team of professionals.</li><li>In a fast growing group, successful leaders are frequently being offered increased areas of responsibility (subject to geographic mobility).</li></ul>
