[Remote] Contract Part Time Bookkeeper/Finance Assistant

Note The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. MCS Health is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Contract Part-Time Finance Assistant to support day-to-day financial operations. The role focuses on accounts payable, client invoicing, expense processing, credit card reconciliation, timesheet administration, financial reporting, and recordkeeping. Responsibilities Process accounts payable invoices and prepare payments for approval Prepare and distribute accurate client invoices according to billing schedules and contract terms Assist with overhead and departmental cost allocations Record, categorize, and reconcile company credit card transactions Collect, organize, and maintain financial documents, receipts, and supporting records Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring proper documentation and approvals Monitor employee timesheet submissions and follow up on missing or incomplete entries Prepare weekly timesheet, expense, invoicing, and other financial reports Communicate with employees, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve billing or payment discrepancies Maintain accurate and confidential financial records Support month-end closing activities and other finance-related projects as assigned Responsibilities may evolve Skills Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounting support, finance administration, or a similar role, 3 - 4 years Understanding of accounts payable, invoicing, expense reports, and credit card reconciliations Excellent organizational and time-management skills Ability to manage recurring weekly and monthly deadlines Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally Experience in a professional services, marketing, communications, or PR agency environment is preferred Experience with accounting, expense-management, timekeeping, or project-management software is preferred Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field is preferred but not required Benefits Part-time position requiring approximately 20 hours per week Flexibility in scheduling is appreciated Company Overview MCS Health is a communication agency offering media relations, third-party collaboration, and clinical trial services.
