Role Overview:

Astral Adhesives is looking for a Packaging Operator to manage daily packaging operations for adhesive and polymer products. The role involves operating and maintaining packaging machinery, ensuring quality output, minimizing wastage, and following safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor automatic/semi-automatic packaging machines efficiently.
  • Ensure correct filling, sealing, labeling, and batch coding as per product specifications.
  • Conduct in-process quality checks to maintain packaging standards.
  • Coordinate with production and maintenance teams for smooth line operations.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines to prevent downtime.
  • Maintain daily production and packaging records accurately.
  • Follow all safety, 5S, and housekeeping procedures in the packaging area.
  • Report any equipment malfunction, material shortage, or packaging defects to the supervisor immediately.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Hands-on experience with FMCG / chemical / adhesive packaging machinery
  • Knowledge of packaging materials and labeling standards
  • Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
  • Awareness of safety and quality protocols
Qualification & Experience:
  • ITI / Diploma (Mechanical / Packaging)
  • 2-4 years of experience in packaging operations
  • Candidates from FMCG or Adhesive Industry will be preferred
